About Me.
I'm Nicole, a data visualization engineering consultant based in Tampa, Florida.
A certfiable data geek, second year Tableau Social Ambassador, Certified Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Dataiku Core Designer, founder and co-lead of Women in Dataviz, and co-lead of the global Healthcare Tableau User Group. (Please drop me a line if you'd like to get involved.)
I was nominated for six Vizzies in 2022 and 2023, and I recently won the Stats+Stories Data Visualization Contest. (Check out my entry here)
My professional experience includes data analytics, data management, and data visualization roles at Mission Health, UNC Health, Community Care of North Carolina, Aspen RxHealth, Olive AI, and Cart.com. (My resume is here.)
My focus now is on crafting efficient and semantic data pipelines and inspiring data visualizations. I’m also a grad student in the University of Colorado, Boulder Master of Science in Data Science program.
I spend most of my time at the computer exploring datasets and creating aesthetic, insightful, and impactful data visualizations in Tableau, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, RAWGraphs, and Streamlit (with Python, Plotly Express, and Plotly Graph Objects). I’ve recently started coding in JavaScript, so look for new work in d3.js soon! Check out my Tableau Public profile or my Portfolio on this site.
In my downtime, I practice yoga, write, read fiction, and explore nature and vegan eateries with my dogs.
